We created this facial bar with whole natural ingredients unlike most mainstream charcoal bars made with detergents. We make a true soap bar. We may have named it a “facial bar” but it’s good for the whole body! The reason we make a true soap bar is because typical facial bars are made with detergents that strip your face of its natural oils and cause irritation due to the chemicals that make the detergent. We skipped all of that by using nourishing butters and oils that won’t strip your skin or cause irritation!

Usage
Splash skin with warm water. Rub the charcoal bar onto skin, and gently rub your skin until the soap is worked in. Rinse completely with warm water. Follow with your preferred moisturizer.

Q: Is this your only facial bar?
A: We do recommend using this for your face, however, we do also offer our 3-in-1 Soap that is gentle enough to be used on facial skin, and many do use it! We also have an Exfoliating Cleanser if you need a more intense exfoliating experience, however, we don’t recommend exfoliating more than two times per week.

Ok, this is seriously a gift soap bar for my face! I use this with EVERY shower! They now have spearmint back in a stock and bought myself the BIG one and AM IN HEAVEN! I am not a big face washer who uses all kinds of different products on my face. I am simple and literally only use this to clean my face specifically in the shower. The spearmint is bomb too and makes me feel extra clean and fresh! Along with the toner now (I have started using their toner after my shower and it clears up any small pimples within a day. I had never even heard of a toner until now 🙂 ) my skin is seriously looking better than ever. If you do buy the big bar I would cut into 4ths just because the big bar is big along with my other soaps on my shower ledge :).

I was so frustrated with the more natural face washes and moisturizers that you find at the store because my skin would still break out from them. When I found out Earthley was coming out with a Charcoal facial bar, I was ecstatic because I have had my eye on them for awhile (after years of just using baking soda out of frugality)! I haven’t found a charcoal bar with natural ingredients for less than $30, so this was a no brainer for me.
I was honestly a little concerned that it would be drying (my skin has been crazy dry since I have been pregnant) because I have read that activated charcoal can have that effect, but it wasn’t at all! It has actually had the opposite effect (I’m guessing because of the butters and oils used to make the bar). I purchased the Spearmint version, so, aside from smelling amazing, if FEELS amazing and tingly on my skin while, at the same time, extremely moisturizing…something I’ve never experienced with a facial cleanser before.
My husband keeps telling me how soft my skin feels!
