I’ve been looking for natural haircare for a LONG time that actually works and that doesn’t contain avocado because I’m allergic. I hope this formula never changes! So at first I was a little nervous that I wasn’t going to like the shampoo. I have fine, thin hair so it doesn’t take much to weigh my hair down. There was definitely an adjustment period of 4ish weeks where my hair was greasy and looked like I hadn’t washed out my conditioner all the way or something lol. But knowing there’s an adjustment period, I gave it time. I was pleasantly surprised to find my hair beginning to feel so clean and weighless without feeling straw like. I feel like I cannot say enough good things about this bar! My sweet little family is working to eliminate toxic products, so reading this ingredient list got my attention. I ordered the bar and was a little nervous to use it because I normally have oily hair and I was worried about how long it might take for my scalp to really adjust to this change. Well, I would just like to say after 2 washes, I’m obsessed. I love this shampoo! The first day I used it my hair felt so great! I do switch up my shampoos … and I think everyone can benefit from this. I use it up to 7 days consecutively but then I use a different (healthy) shampoo for a day or two and then switch back. I so badly wanted to love this–it smells amazing and lathers very well to cover my long, straight, thick hair in soap and feels very moisturizing while I work the lather into my hair. But immediately after rinsing, my hair felt weird and heavy with soap residue. I have very hard water so I suppose it could be because of that, but it just didn’t work for me. However, it works great on my curly haired son and makes his curls look extra bouncy and soft. Go figure. I still haven’t found a satisfactory natural haircare solution sadly. I’m considering saving for a water softening filter and if I get that will try this bar again.

I really wanted to love this shampoo because I love Earthley products so much!! Unfortunately this one didn’t work out for me. It left a waxy feeling in my hair. I used ACV oil to wash it out but it didn’t seem to do the trick. Just didnt work for my hair type and the water in my household!
