I am so confused. I have very oily hair, got this shampoo to see if it will help and started getting a lot of dandruff, not sure if its because my scalp is in a detox process from the shampoo or if it just made it worst.

This one wasn’t it for me. I have type 1a oily hair, and this left it looking pretty stringy and prone to tangling. I also found it left my hair frizzy, which is not something my hair type typically deals with! I typically make my own shampoo from reetha, so this wasn’t a case of my hair going through an adjustment period to natural soaps. When it was wet it felt almost sticky or tacky, and I found the oil rebound to be worse than with other oily shampoos I’ve tried. Other reviews mentioned the hard water, and that may be my issue because I have well water that is moderately hard. Bummer, because I really wanted to like this one.

First time I used this, it made my hair SO SOFT but pretty oily. Second, third, and fourth time? I have never had so much build up or oil in my hair EVER. I’ve been using silicone and sulfate free for a year, so my hair was already detoxed from those. After researching, sounds like if you have hard water this is not the shampoo for you as it only creates a build up of minerals in your hair and the hard water clings to the natural oils in the shampoo bar. And it never rinses out the oil. I really wish this shampoo bar could’ve worked for me. But it was HORRIBLE with my hard city water.

I have very oily hair near the scalp and very dry at the ends. It’s curly but I often blow dry it straight. This shampoo made my hair feel awful! It was worse than ever with the greasy feel and look. I washed and blowed it dry and had to be e wash it immediately because it felt so terrible. Not sure if it takes time to adjust but I’m not sure it’s worth it for how terrible it was.
