### Q: Why is Pest-Aside in a stick instead of a spray?

A: The most effective ingredients were all oil-based, so it made the most sense to be in a stick.

### Q: Pest-Aside melts!  What can I do about it?

A: These oils will melt if in the direct sun or hot car. We recommend placing it inside a bag or container where it won’t make a mess if it does melt. Melting will not affect use; it will still work!

### Q: How much Pest-Aside do I need to use to be effective?

A: For backyards or low-bug areas, a little on your neck, wrists, and ankles should be enough. If you will be in the deep woods or high-bug areas, apply to all exposed skin.

### Q: Why is my product so darker or lighter than the photos?

A: Natural products do vary. This does not change effectiveness.

The Neem oil in these products can vary for a variety of reasons:

- The maturity of the seed when harvested
- How long the seed is dried prior to oil extraction
- When the seeds are harvested (peak of dry season, later in season, earlier, etc)

### My product arrived melted. What should I do?

This can happen when the product is exposed to hot weather. The quality of this product is not affected. Because we don’t use artificial fillers or stabilizers, our products can soften or melt in warm weather. But it’s an easy fix!

Natural products may melt, but they still work just as wonderfully.

First, if you believe the product may be melted -- do not open it right away. Place it in the freezer for about 30 - 45 minutes, then, after solidifying, use a fork to stir it well.

Both Pest Aside and Bug Shield are meant to naturally ward off insects.  Pest Aside is an oil-based salve, while Bug Shield is an alcohol-based spray.  Both work well; it depends on your preference of oil vs. alcohol products.
