FAQs

Q: What brand are your oils?

A: We don’t use a “brand” of oils.  Brands are marketed direct to consumers, while wholesale suppliers serve businesses.  It’s much more cost-effective for us to go direct to big suppliers than retail brands.

Q: Are your oils therapeutic-grade or CPTG?

A: Both of these terms were invented by other oil brands, and don’t have a standard, third-party definition.  We don’t use these terms to describe our oils because they aren’t meaningful outside the brands that created them.

Q: Can your oils be used internally?

A: We don’t recommend ingestion or internal use except under the care of a qualified aromatherapist.  Our blends were designed for external use.

Q: Where are your plants sourced from?

A: We don’t distill the oils ourselves.  The plants are sourced from all over the world, depending on which region they grow best in.

Q: How are the oils tested?

A: The oils undergo GC/MS tests, as well as tests for microbes and heavy metals, to ensure they are pure and safe.  These tests are done by third-party labs.  Test results will be available on the individual product listings.

Q: Is this blend kid safe? How do you define kid safe?

A: “Kid safe” means okay for topical use or diffusion for kids over age 2.  Every blend except for Woods is kid-safe.  We will have more details and studies available on each individual product listing, and bottles are labeled as “kid safe” if they are.

Q: Is this blend pet-safe?

A: Essential oils in general should not be used with cats. We always suggest making sure pets have a way to leave the room where oils are diffusing so they can get fresh air if they need it.

Q: What carrier oil should I use with these?

A: We suggest a neutral, skin-safe oil like jojoba, apricot, or cucumber seed oil.

Q: Can I use these as perfume?

A: Yes, if properly diluted.  Please look at our research to understand the therapeutic purposes of each oil in the blend you want to use to be sure it matches your needs — essential oils are more than just scent!

Q: Can I use these to scent my home?

A: Yes!  In a diffuser, on your dryer balls, on a small cloth stuck in a drawer to scent clothes or towels.

Q: What are the dilution ratios I should use?

A: You can find our dilution ratios here or in the product gallery above.

I love this because when my kids or I have stomaches , we really don’t want to take any medicine by mouth , so I mixed this with the good night lotion and rubbed it our on bellies! It helps with bloating and gas and my kids and I do feel the difference!

I use Tummy Sooth for myself and grandkids. It is great for gas pains as well as when something that was consumed just does not agree with one of us, is also good for diarrhea. In general any thing ailing the gastrointestinal system! Thanks Earthley for good natural non-chemical products!!

  3. Charity (verified owner)

My daughter and I swear by this oil. We both have digestive issues that flare here and there and this oil helps a lot with bloating and pain.

  4. Jane Somero (verified owner)

I was happy I had this on hand when my daughter got hit with a stomach bug. She said it helped her tummy feel better. I was skeptical if the smell would be tolerable with that combo of oils, but it actually wasn’t bad at all.

  5. Maria Sofia (verified owner)

In the short amount of time we’ve had this oil blend there have already been a few times it’s come in handy. My daughter was home sick in bed and her tummy was really hurting. I put it on and it helped her for a while and we then reapplied it later. I had a little upset stomach and used some too. It was pleasant and all calmed down.
