Q: My lip balm came a little bit melted. How can I fix this?
A: Nothing is wrong with your lip balm, just stick it in the fridge to re-harden it.
Q: What are the black specks in my lip balm?
A: We formulate our lip balm with real vanilla bean and those black spots are from the vanilla!
Q: Why is my lip balm grainy?
A: Our lip balm can feel grainy if it has melted a bit and re-hardened, and it may feel grainy from the vanilla bean. Nothing is wrong with it or its effectiveness. It is a natural product that doesn’t have binders or fillers in it, so the texture is different than a normal lip balm.
Q: How can I prevent my lip balm from melting?
A: If you want to take your lip balm on the go, we suggest storing it in a cooler to keep it from melting. If you have it at home, keep it in a cool area, not tucked in a pocket or some place warm.

The only reason I like this stuff is because of the clean ingredients, but it is too runny. I even put it in the freezer but it didn’t help. It’s reminds me of runny Vaseline. 5 stars if it was thick! The lip balm wasn’t wrapped in any bubble wrap or in a small container so when I received it, the lid was off.

I’m not a fan of this chapstick, although I wanted to really like it! It’s really messy and doesn’t seem to do a lot moisture wise for my lips. I do however sometimes add it on top of a lip stain, since the lip stain I use can make my lips look matte. This adds a small amount of sheen to make my lips look healthier. It just doesn’t feel like the moisture really penetrates.

I can’t say this is my favorite lip balm ever, but I haven’t tried other natural ones yet. This is a lot more oily and melted if you will than your common chapstick. I wish it were a bit more solid and could add a bit more of a waxy (if that’s even the right word I’m searching for) finish similar to other chapstick-like products. I would describe this as a lip-oil in a chapstick applicator. It’s okay. Would I buy it again? I’m not sure. I’ll probably try some other brands first to see if there’s a more desireable feel to the product that I’m looking for. My toddler likes it when I dab a bit on her lips and I do use it occasionally. I’m not convinced that it helps much with dry lips though. It also doesn’t seem to sit on the lips long before soaking in?

I wanted to love this product so much and I hate writing this! I have about half of Earthley’s products at this point because I love this brand and I’ve really loved everything I’ve purchased from here, however, this one is a miss for me. It’s a little too oily and kind of just melts onto the lips. It doesn’t feel very hydrating to me and my lips are just as chapped afterwards. I’ve purchased 3 different scents and I’ve had the same problem with all 3. One of them being the pumpkin spice (I think that’s what it’s called) and that one actually made my lips burn a little. Anyway still love Earthley and I look forward to trying more products!

I ordered vanilla bean for my son and I who struggle with chapped lips. It only made our lips way more dry. I am not sure if the peppermint would be better but I really wanted to love it, it just didn’t work for us! I still love every other earthley product I’ve tried and will continue to be a customer!
